Servicing your VW Bay Window bus can see like a bit of chore in the excitement of the new spring season all ready upon us. Often there seems too much to do in terms of Volkswagen Camper meets, events and the inevitable road tips that are planned for the summer, to think about getting ones hands dirty, serving your cherished Volkswagon bus. Some or even most of us will take our cherished bus to a non Volkswagen garage to have it serviced, get charged through the nose for what's essentially no more than a regular car service. Major thing that needs to be considered is the location and size of the damage. If damage is at the edge of the windshield then it will spread fast and will destroy the integrity of the glass. If any edge damage is found then windshield replacement it soon. It will save the life of your windshield.

Some things to troubleshoot before calling for service include whether the unit is blowing out cool air into the room. Is the thermostat set to cool? Also, go out to your fins and see if they are sucking air in. If all of those things seem fine go and see if your machines float switch is floating. If the float switch is floating this could indicate a drainage problem. If you use your shop vac to suck out any clogs and it's still not better you will need air conditioning repair. Troubleshooting can keep you from paying for service calls when it's something silly that is wrong.

As a windshield installer for the past thirty five years, let me give you three good reasons not to repair your windshield. As windshield repair is a gimmick in my opinion.
